Job Context Servest Security is looking for Security Officers with Grade C. The role of a Security Officer is to protect people, property and assets by maintaining a safe, secure and orderly environment. The position is based in Secunda. Minimum Requirements • Matriculation or Grade 10/11 with a minimum of 5 years of experience and service letters • Valid PSIRA Grade C Certificate • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the security industry • Demonstration of patrolling, access control, and reporting procedures • No criminal record (SAPS clearance) • Firearms license will be an advantage • Valid driver’s license with PDP (if driving duties are required) • Must be resident in the Secunda area. Skills and Abilities • Observation and reporting skills • Communication skills (radio and verbal) • Basic knowledge of site rules and procedures • Ability to handle incidents calmly • Basic computer literacy (beneficial for reports) • Fluency in English (speak, read and write) Duties and Responsibilities • Conduct regular patrols and security checks • Report to control rooms regarding security • Report all incidents to site manager • Control access to personnel and vehicles |
