| Responsibility | Description |

| Renewable Energy Transition | Support NRC country offices remotely or in person in transitioning from diesel generators to renewable energy solutions. |
| Solar Project Management | Manage and support a portfolio of solarization projects across the Central and West Africa region. |
| Technical Expertise | Provide expert technical guidance and act as the authority on solar energy projects. |
| Policy Compliance | Ensure all solarization activities follow NRC policies, procedures, and global standards. |
| Stakeholder Collaboration | Build strong relationships with support teams and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. |
| Innovation & Development | Contribute to the development of the Solar Handbook and related tools while exploring innovative solutions. |
| Best Practices Implementation | Identify, document, and implement best practices both within and outside the region. |
| Training & Capacity Building | Provide training and capacity development for solar equipment maintenance and management. |
| Environmental Initiative Support | Support the Environmental Footprint Reduction Team in implementing solarization initiatives. |

| Energy Assessment | Conduct or advise on energy needs and renewable energy opportunity assessments for NRC sites. |
| Funding Support | Assist country office teams in meeting the requirements to access NRC Capital Funding for solar system purchases. |
| Procurement Guidance | Provide technical input during procurement including drafting specifications, supplier criteria, and evaluating supplier bids. |
| Project Implementation | Oversee the installation and implementation of solar power systems either in person or remotely. |
| Staff Training | Train staff on solar system maintenance and management and prepare standard operating procedures. |
| System Monitoring | Regularly monitor solar system performance and provide troubleshooting support when required. |
| Project Reporting | Maintain project pipeline information and provide regular updates on progress, achievements, and challenges. |
| Best Practices Sharing | Promote the sharing of successful practices across country operations to strengthen capacity and motivation. |

| Education | Advanced university degree in engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields. |
| Professional Experience | Minimum six years of relevant experience in renewable energy transitions within EPC companies, energy providers, UN, humanitarian or development organizations. |
| Proven Results | Documented achievements related to renewable energy and solar project responsibilities. |
| Technical Expertise | Strong experience in designing and implementing electrical energy solutions, especially solar power systems. |
| Energy System Management | Experience in planning, design, budgeting, and management of electrical energy systems and energy audits. |
| Testing & Commissioning | Good understanding of testing equipment and processes including inspection, verification, and commissioning. |
| Regulatory Knowledge | Extensive knowledge of renewable energy regulatory frameworks and humanitarian procurement procedures. |
| Work Environment | Experience working in complex and volatile environments including emergency settings. |
| Data & Reporting | Experience in data collection, analysis, report writing, and project documentation. |
| Business Development | Familiarity with renewable energy business development is considered an advantage. |
| Communication Skills | Ability to meet reporting deadlines and clearly communicate project progress. |
| Languages | Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is essential. Knowledge of local West African languages is an advantage. |
| Offer Category | Details |

| Duty Station | CWA Regional Office in Senegal or any other NRC country offices in the CWA region. May also be hosted in Employer of Record (EoR) or regional/country offices where NRC operates. Candidate must have legal right to live and work in the chosen country. |
| Contract Type | Fixed-Term Contract ending on 31 December 2026. |
| Travel Requirement | Up to 60% travel may be required depending on project needs. |
| Salary & Benefits | Grade 9 Resident Contract terms with competitive salary and benefits. |
